Malaika A. Muindi began her photography journey through a microscope. As a Biology major in college, Muindi examined microscopic organisms through objective and condenser lenses in order to identify the physiological structures that classified the organism into their phylogenies. Enamored by the possibilities of what microscopic lenses could capture, she enrolled into photography courses to learn further about how lenses work. Unbeknownst to her, she would discover a passion for photography, that would transform her perspective of the world around her. Muindi captured her first images of nature in her front yard and then explored beyond this space, seeking out interesting faces and people with stories to tell.   With extensive practice with a microscope, she now poses an innate ability to capture details in her photography that have lead to her capturing compelling portraits.  Let her put a microscope to your moments, and a lens to your look.
